Hello, I'm Joanne

A third Year media student with a passion for storytelling through visuals.

From branded content to food videos, I’ve worked across various roles — as a camera operator, editor, and director — bringing ideas to life with thoughtful framing and purposeful edits. I enjoy crafting content that connects with people, whether it's through a dynamic recipe video or an emotional profile story.

I’m constantly learning, always curious, and driven by the belief that the best stories are the ones that make you feel something.

SUMMARY

Working on all six episodes of the series was an eye-opening experience that allowed me to explore different perspectives and storytelling approaches. From profiling ex-offenders like JG and Lezan, to capturing the fresh insights of volunteers like Lunar, each episode presented unique challenges and learning opportunities. I gained hands-on experience in directing, editing, and shaping narratives in a way that remained authentic to the subjects while communicating the client’s vision. Collaborating closely with the team and adapting to evolving briefs, tight timelines, and unexpected changes strengthened my leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Beyond the technical aspects, the project deepened my understanding of social issues, empathy, and the power of storytelling in creating awareness and challenging stereotypes.

A little bit about me.
